Obituary of Joan Louise Keaney

Joan Louise (Fleming) Keaney, age 82, of Halifax, died on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Bay Path Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Duxbury. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Thomas & Margaret (Drummey) Fleming. Joan was a graduate of Carney School of Nursing and a long time Registered Nurse at Saint Margaret's Hospital in Dorchester. Joan was the beloved wife of the late Michael F. Keaney; devoted mother of Jeanne & John Belekevich of Duxbury, Michele Keaney of Halifax, Michael & Cheri Keaney of Kingston, Thomas & Nancy Keaney of Centerville, Gerald Keaney of Whitman and Jo-Anne & Robert Iadeluca of East Greenwich, RI; loving grandmother of ten; dear sister of Bernadette Fleming and the late Katherine Fleming. Calling hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Wednesday, February 1, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, on Thursday, February 2 at 8:00 AM, followed by her funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 580 Monponsett Street, (Route 58), Halifax. Interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
