Bob was always challenging, instructive, helpful and supportive. He made me a better Commander of Boston Commandery and a better person. That seems to be a fine testament to his own character. I, along with many others, will truly miss him.

My sympathy to the Wilson family on their loss of Robert Gardner III. He was the longtime able Chairman of the Jurisprudence Committee of Grand Commandery for whom I had the greatest respect and whom I was honored to succeed as Chairman.
As Recorder of Boston Commandery #2,he was always helpful and cordial to me,an affiliate member. I will miss his
presence there.

TO BOB'S FAMILY AND TO HIS EXTENDED FAMILY (IN WHICH i INCLUDE MYSELF), WE HAVE LOST A GOOD FRIEND AND A TIRELESS WORKER. HE HAD A SELFLESS CONCERN FOR OTHERS AND HIS WORK. BOB TOUCHED US ALL WITH HIS TALENT AND HIS HUMILITY! BOB WAS A "rock" WHO NEVER SANK WHEN HIS TALENTS WERE NEEDED. BOSTON COMMANDERY WILL BE INDEPTED FOREVER FOR THE LEGACY HE LEFT, WITH HIS TIRELESS EFFORTS AS OUR RECORDER AND FOR ALL THAT HE CONTRIBUTED TO THE FINANCIAL WELL-BEING THAT HAS ASSURRED A LIFETIME OF EXISTANCE FOR "THE" COMMANDERY. YOUR LABORS ARE FINISHED, REST IN PIECE, WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE LEFT "WELL RESPECTED AND LONG REMEMBERED".
fRATERNALLY, YOUR FRATER, EM. MARLIN E WHITNEY

Pat and I extend our sincere condolences to the
Wilson family. We have known Bob primarily through
our association with Boston Commandery No2. His long
