Obituary of Vincent C. Ofria

Vincent (Vinny) Charles Ofria, of Middleborough, age 70, passed on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at his home surrounded by his whole family. Born in Cambridge, MA, on December 18, 1941, he was the son of the late Connie and Charlie Ofria. He was a resident of Quincy for 37 years, recently of Middleborough. Vinny worked as a Local Union President and International Representative for the United Auto Workers for 40 years. He was an avid boater and fisherman. He enjoyed very much spending time with his family and friends. Vinny will be missed by each and every person who had the pleasure of knowing him. Vinny will always be remembered by his wife of 50 years, Carol L. (Warnock) Ofria; loving father to Bryan Ofria of Halifax and Catherine (Ofria) Hubbard of Plymouth; dear brother to Joe and Chuck; devoted grandfather to Lyndsy, Brittney and Russell Hubbard; great-grandfather to Braydin and Talia and dear uncle to Christine, Peter and Joe. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Vincent's memorial funeral service, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 12:00 NOON. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326 , Plymouth, MA 02360.
