Olav N. Cook, age 85, of Kingston, MA, formerly of Waterville, ME and Marshfield, MA, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at his home.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late George & Olga (Fredheim) Cook. Olav served in World War II in the US Navy on the USS Purdy in the South Pacific, and also during the Korean War, 165th Infantry at the rank of Sergeant 1st Class. He was a man of great physical strength, a voracious reader and a friend to all.
Olav was the beloved husband of Wanda (Williams) Cook; devoted father of Christopher Cook of Arlington & his former wife Maureen and Roger Cook & his wife Linda of Kingston; loving grandfather of Timothy, Andrew, Matthew and Charles; dear brother of Florence Sarles of Princeton, WV and the late George Cook.
Graveside services at the Milton Cemetery, 211 Centre Street, Milton, on Monday, December 3 at 11:00 AM.
