Obituary of Barbara M. Romeo

Barbara M. (Gullberg) Romeo, 93, of Kingston, died December 2, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late James P. Romeo. Loving mother of Robert J. Romeo and his wife Sally of Halifax, and Mary Carruthers and her husband Philip of Kentucky. She is also survived by three grandchildren; Christopher Romeo, Carolyn Ross, Kelly Everhart and three great grandchildren; Christopher, Reagan, and Carley. Barbara had worked as a secondary teacher in the Marshfield school system. She was a volunteer at the South Shore Hospital Gift Shop for many years, and she was involved as an advocate with the Conifer Green Mobile Home Park in Kingston, writing the newsletter for the park. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106) Kingston, on Thurs. Dec. 6, from 4-6PM. Funeral from the Shepherd Funeral Home on Fri. Dec. 7 at 8:00AM, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, Kingston, at 9:00AM. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Kingston. Memorial donations may be made to the James P. Romeo Library at Marshfield High School.
