G. Robert Warren of Marshfield passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 2, 2011. He was 70 years old. Bob was a member of the first graduating class of Florida Presbyterian College, now known as Eckerd, in 1964. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corp and served in Vietnam, after which he became a policeman with the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department; followed by 30 years as a federal agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration. His hobbies included racquetball, jogging, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Ruth A. (Hildreth) Warren. He is the loving father of Jennifer R. (Warren) Fontaine and her husband, Michael of Mansfield and Joshua R. Warren of Marshfield; cherished grandfather of Joseph and Isabelle Fontaine. He was the son of George E. Warren and Margaret E. (Hanselpacker) Warren; Brother of Margaret A. (Warren) Marcotte and her husband Daniel of Buzzards Bay, MA. His mother-in-law, Grace E. Hildreth, of Windham, ME; aunt, Edna Smith, of Eastham, MA. Also survived by sisters-in-law Brenda Costa and husband George, Suzanne Hildreth, Gail Gray and husband Stephen; brothers-in-law; Timothy Hildreth and wife Christine, and Colby Hildreth and wife Tina; nieces Robin Trimble and husband Peter, Julie Platson and husband Loyd, Pamela McKenzie and husband Guy; nephew Dana Marcotte and wife Ann, and many more beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as his lovable dog, Abby. Special Thank you to Lisa Stober and Dr. Ken Zaner. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 7th from 2-4 and 6-8:00p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St., (Rte. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held at Brewster Baptist Church, 1848 Main St, Brewster on Friday, April 8 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Orleans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: BMC Cancer support services, Attn: Sally Fennessey, 820 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118.
