Obituary of Thomas W. Taylor

Thomas W. Taylor, of Carver, passed away on June 17, 2011. He was 88 years old. Mr. Taylor is a graduate of Duxbury High School, class of 1941. He is a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and earned 5 battle stars. He was a member of the American Legion Post 223 in Duxbury, VFW in Franklin, NH, and formerly a member of the Elks in Marshfield, and I.O.O.F. of Duxbury. He is the past president of the Friends of the Council on Aging in Duxbury. Mr. Taylor had a strong love of his country, and an even greater love towards his family. Beloved husband of Jean Taylor of Carver. Loving father of Linda A. Crawford of Wareham, and Thomas W. Taylor II, and his wife Pamela of Kingston. Brother of Helen Vincent of NJ, Grace "Eve" Dolan of Abington, George Taylor of FL, and the late Florence Keller, and Mary "Paulie" Daley. Cherished grandfather of Jaime A. McEnroe, Jodi A. Taylor, Kaitlyn A. Crawford, and Amanda J. Crawford, as well as many nieces and nephews. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 26th from 4-7:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, (Rt. 106). A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27th at 10:00 AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston.
