Dear Bryan,
I worked with your Mom for several years before we discovered we had Silver Lake Chorus as a common background, she as a mom, me as a soprano. As a co-worker she was quick and kind and witty and strong;in short she was always her own honest self. But her shining time was whenever she spoke of her family. She could not mention any of you without beaming with love. That's the smile I'll carry in my heart as Esther.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family at this time.

Dear Bryan,
Thanx so much for your call. So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Glad it was peaceful for her. I would have called you back, but the caller ID came up private name, private number. I did let Dick know. He lives in South Carolina now. Esther was a lovely, warm and caring lady. The time she spent with Dad was very special to him.
Sinceerely

Brian and Sandy: Phil and I certainly had planned to be at Esther's memorial service. However, we have an appointment at that exact hour in Braintree of longstanding, that would be a nightmare to reschedule. I do hope you understand. Esther and I would occasionally gripe about the ways of the world over the woodpile between the properties. I missed seeing her out in the driveway with Heidi. Helen

To Esther's Family and Friends,
We at Plimoth Plantation send our heartfelt condolences to you.
Esther was a delight and loved by all who knew her and worked with her at Plimoth Plantation for so many years. I personally worked with Esther in the Museum Shops in the 1980s and 1990s and we laughed A LOT! Working with Esther was always fun and guests enjoyed her ready smile and helpful nature. I loved it on the rare times when she was actually mad or frustrated about something... I've never met a person as cute as Esther when she was mad!
Esther had remarkable energy. We were always trying to keep up with her. Her coworkers 30 or 40 years younger than she was were envious of her indefatigable energy.
We recall that she often spoke of her son and his family with great joy and satisfaction and pride.
Esther will be missed by many and remembered for a long, lomg time at Plimoth Plantation. We are grateful that we had the chance to know Esther and have the pleasure of her company as a coworker and friend.
May you be comforted by happy memories.
With sincere sympathy,
Ellie Donovan
