We were saddened to just learn of the passing of our Island Dunes neighbor. We only knew Art for a short time, as we usually saw him during vacations. He was genuine, very proud of his family, and was a wonderful story-teller. He often spoke of Pembroke, MA and how much he enjoyed his summers in Pembroke (and Middleboro) and the winter sun in Jensen Beach. Our condolences to his family and friends.

Dear Family,
Art was a great friend and competitor. I played for Kingston High and Pembroke was our fierce competition on the court and field but we were the greatest of friends during and after school.
Art was a great athlete and competitor. We had fun competing with Art, Brad, Johnnie, Bill Bray, Gene Grant and the rest of "the boys". So many fond memories. And then came the rink. I had the priviledge of coaching Kevin as a Bantam. Watching him grow and compete professionally was a great thrill for all of us rink rats. I saw lots of Art at the rink over the years and most recently at cottage park while driving my Carver Gatra Van.
Please accept my sincere sympathy. I was out of town on the weekend of the services. So sorry I wasn't there.
Best regards,
Dave Glass

Dear Pat,
When I saw you the other day I did not realize that I would be in contact with you so soon. For Art, I am glad that his pain is over. But for you and so many family and friends, he will be very much missed. His smile and friendly manner cheered up many moments. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Judi

Dearest Family of Art Stevens,
I join with so many others who knew Art in offering my deepest sympathy on his passing. Although it is little consolation at this sad time, it should be of some satisfaction to know that in his passing you can celebrate the end of a long and very productive life.
The measure of a life well-lived is not in how much money one has or what possessions they have accumulated, but rather through the lives they touched and the sorrow they leave behind. If the outpouring of sympathy on his loss is any indication, and it most certainly is, you can proudly and confidently say that his indeed was a life well-lived.
God bless your family and may you find peace and comfort in knowing that Arts loss is felt by all who knew him.
In Sympathy,
Ken Stowell
