Obituary of Lois P. Jenner

Lois P. Jenner, age 76, of Duxbury, formerly of Weymouth and Boston, died on Monday, March 4, 2013, at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.
Born in Westwood, she was the daughter of the late James H.W. & Florence (Barstow) Jenner. Lois graduated in 1958 from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. She attended graduate school at Harvard University and Boston State College. After working at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for many years, she was a teacher in the Needham Public Schools. She taught english and foreign languages. Upon her retirement, she became active with the Duxbury Rural and Historical Society, Mass Audubon Society, and the Duxbury Senior Citizens Group. Lois was also a member of the LASIT talent group and a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. She was a world traveler and an avid skier.
Lois was the beloved sister of the late Phyllis Younger Dukes and loving aunt of Daniel C. Bennett & his wife Janet of Danvers, Diane Dean & her husband Lonnie of North Carolina, Nathaniel Bennett of Maine, Jefferson Bennett of Louisiana, Grace Legér & her husband Tony of Orange, MA, Jodi McNamara of Meuthen and the late Jonathan Younger and great-aunt of 14. She is also survived by Daphne and Delilah.
Graveside services will be held at the Mayflower Cemetery, 774 Tremont Street, Duxbury, on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, 410 Washington Street, Duxbury, on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Duxbury Rural and Historical Society, P.O. Box 2865, Duxbury, MA 02331 or to the Development Office, Mass Audubon, 208 South Great Road, Lincoln, MA 01773.
