F. Michael Dewire, Jr., age 92, of Duxbury, died on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late F. Michael & Anna (Reid) Dewire. He was an active member of the Duxbury Yacht Club, Wharf Rats, the Duxbury Frostbite Society and enjoyed golf, skiing, tennis and sailing.
He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth J. (Groden) Dewire; devoted father of Michael Dewire III of Duxbury, Elizabeth Hartford of Duxbury, Mark Dewire of Baltimore, MD, Peter Dewire of Hingham, Emily Dewire Sbragia of Plymouth; loving grandfather of Jocelyn, Alison, Hannah, Eliza, Jane, Luke, Peter, William, Madeline, Owen, Alexandra and Elizabeth Annabelle; dear brother of Eleanor Deveraux of Northborough and the late Nancy Hinchliffe and William Dewire.
Visitation and funeral services will be private.
A memorial service is being planned for September.
