Obituary of Marjorie R. Chute

Please share a memory of Marjorie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marjorie R. (Trimble) Chute, of Duxbury, MA, died peacefully in her sleep, on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. She was born on August 7, 1923 in Swampscott, MA, to the late Paul S. & Gladys (DeLong) Trimble. For many years, Marjorie volunteered and coordinated the Marshfield and Duxbury Councils on Aging weekly bridge groups. Proud of her Irish and Canadian heritage, she was a strong, warm and caring person, quick with a welcoming smile and a twinkle in her eyes. Marjorie loved playing the piano, bridge, and enjoyed the traveling she and Bill did throughout Europe, Canada and the United States. Marjorie was the beloved wife of William Chute for 69 years, and the devoted mother of Kenneth (Durham, NH), Gregory (Newark, DE), and Leslie (Chute) Rose (Plainville, MA). She was also very proud of her younger late brother, Robert (Hyannis, MA), who had a wonderful singing voice. Marjorie was the loved grandmother of Erin (Chute) Gallentine (Jamaica Plain, MA), William Chute (Rochester, NH), Whitney Chute (Oxford, PA), Rachel Chute (Alexandria, VA), and Megan (Rose) Borrello (Lawton, OK), and was great-grandmother to Mazzy and Max Gallentine and Jackson and Sean Borrello. Funeral and interment services will be private. A memorial service/celebration is being planned for late August. In lieu of flowers or other remembrances, please consider the Alzheimer's Association (P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090) or to the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, MA.
