Edwin J. Pasiuk, of Duxbury, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and children, on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. He had just celebrated his long awaited 90th birthday. Edwin was born and educated in Brockton, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy (SeaBees). Ed spent his entire working career as a structural engineer for Republic Steel Corporation and became Chief Engineer. After retirement, he did freelance engineering and cabinetry for several years. Woodworking was a passion of his, and he was a master craftsman. He has left many beautiful pieces of his work for his family to enjoy. He also loved the outdoors, ice fishing, mushrooming and quahogging. He was the man who could do it all! Edwin is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ann (Przygoda) Pasiuk; his daughter, Carol & her husband John Canty of Duxbury; his son, Steven Pasiuk & his wife Karen of Old Saybrook, CT. He leaves four grandchildren, Aaron Boghosian, Andrea (Boghosian) Norman, Kristen (Pasiuk) Spector and Andrew Pasiuk; four great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Sawyer "Winn" Norman, Ethan and Leah Boghosian, who will miss his gentle guidance. Ed also leaves many nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 11:00 AM. Interment services will follow at the Mayflower Cemetery, 774 Tremont Street, Duxbury. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edwin's memory may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
