Obituary of Helvi Lehto
Please share a memory of Helvi to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Helvi Lehto (Eskelin), at age 95, of Plympton, passed peacefully, in her sleep on October 4th, 2013, to join her beloved husbandAno, son Larry, and all her pets and friends in eternity.
Helvi often said that she had lived a good life, and indeed she had.
An active member of the Plympton Congregational Church, she loved her town of Plympton, and all her very close friends. An active contributor to the community, Helvi served as committee member and secretary on the Garden Club, the Sewing Circle, the Historical Society, the Library, 4-H, The Heifer Project, Plympton Senior Citizens, and the Old Colony Planning Council. Helvi and her family have lived in Plympton for 45 years, having moved from Hingham, where she and Ano had resided for 20 years.
Her children, Jack and his wife Adele, David, and Susan will deeply miss her loving companionship, and with her many friends, remember fondly her life well-lived.
She brightened so many lives that our world will be lonelier with her passing.
At her request, funeral arrangements for Helvi were private.
Donations in her memory may be directed to the First Congregational Church of Plympton, 254 Main Street, P.O. Box 147, Plympton, MA 02367.
