Obituary of Robert N. Glauben

Robert N. Glauben, age 74, of Hanson, formerly of Pembroke, died on Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was born on December 30, 1938, in Pembroke, the son of the late Jacob F. & Irene (Clark) Glauben. Robert was a graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School, Class of 1956 and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-1960. For 31 years, he worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and was a lifelong Red Sox fan. Robert was the loving father of Victoria Doherty & her husband Tim of Billerica and beloved brother of Avis Umbriana of Pembroke, John H. Glauben of Pembroke and the late Elizabeth Williams, Beverly Rupple, Mary Withers, Richard Glauben and Jacob Glauben, Jr. He is also survived by many devoted nieces and nephews. A visitation period will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, from 9:00-10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.
