Obituary of Barbara E. Woodbury

Barbara E. Woodbury of Kingston, formerly of Hingham and Popponesset, died on February 6, 2014. She was 88 years old. Mrs. Woodbury was born, raised and educated in Quincy. She worked at Proctor and Gamble with the rest of her family, Fandells Heating as a receptionist, Cape Cod Adventurers as a Tour Guide and volunteered at Falmouth Hospital. Barbara spent many hours with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took horseback riding lessons in her 60’s just to spend time with her equestrian granddaughters. Barbara loved to garden and travel with her husband, Curtis. She is survived by her son, Mark and his wife Sally; two granddaughters, Rachel Novak and Elisabeth Hines and three great-grandchildren. Also by a sister, Phyllis Wilson. She is predeceased by her husband, Curtis and a brother, Francis Abbott. A Memorial Service will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 15, 2014, followed by a luncheon at The Inn at Silver Lake, 21 Chipman Way, Kingston MA.
