Helen E. (MacInnis) Brown, age 93, of Carver, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the LifeCare Center in Plymouth.
Helen was born on September 1, 1920, a daughter to the late Francis J. and Helen S. (Thorne) MacInnis. She is survived by her children: George H. Brown, III and his wife Mary Jane, Sheila M. Connolly and her husband Edward (Ted) and her daughter-in-law, Ann L. Brown; her grandchildren: Pamela, Mark, Andrea, Jared, Matthew and Michael and her great-grandchildren: Douglas, Derek Connor and Alton. She was predeceased by her loving husband, George H. Brown, Jr.; her son, Francis J. Brown; her daughter, Marsha Brown and her grandson, George H. Brown, IV.
Helen was a graduate of Braintree High School and worked for the Singer Company for 15 years as a fabric buyer and a sales person. Some of Helen’s interests involved sewing, knitting, gardening, reading, flower arranging and photography. She is a past President of the Braintree Catholic Women’s Club; a past Grand Regent of the Catholic Daughters Court of Saint Francis of Assisi and a past Grand Regent of the Court of Lily of the Mohawks.
Visiting hours will be at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, (Route 58), Carver, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from 4:00- 8:00 PM.
Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Carver, on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 9:00 AM, and her funeral Mass will be held at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 126 South Meadow Road, South Plymouth at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow at the Central Cemetery, Main Street, (Route 58), Carver.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 126 South Meadow Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.
