Obituary of Anne M. Russell

Anne M. (Hennessey) Russell, age 88, of Hingham, formerly of Harwich and Quincy, died on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the Continuing Care Center at Linden Ponds in Hingham. She was born and grew up in South Boston, a daughter of the late Robert & Victoria (Caristi) Hennessey. Anne lived in Quincy for many years before moving to Harwich. She worked for Liberty Mutual for many years and also enjoyed another successful career as a realtor on Cape Cod. She tap danced into her 80's; producing, directing and dancing in many shows. Anne will be sorely missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilson G. Russell, a proud, longtime member of IBEW Local 103. Anne is survived by her sisters, Therese McCarty of Duxbury and Claire Hennessey of Deerfield Beach, FL. Nephews and extended family grieve the passing of "Aunt Anne". She brought them to see Filene's windows and check for dirt behind their ears. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from 3:00-5:00 PM. All are welcome. Interment services will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anne's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
