Gloria (Rouleau) Carvalho, age 64, of Kingston, passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of 43 years to Donald Carvalho. Gloria was born in Brighton, MA, moved to Braintree and then to Whitman. She graduated in 1967 from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. She furthered her education at Northeastern University where she received a BA in Business Administration. Gloria worked at the Plymouth Home National Bank for 22 years, where she achieved the position of Vice-President. Upon leaving the bank, Gloria and her husband purchased and co-owned Sir Speedy Printing in Brockton for 25 years. She and Donald were avid travelers visiting all 50 states, Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, Egypt and Greece. She enjoyed music, camping, hiking and she was a proud member of the Four Thousand Footers Club. She also was a collector of miniature lighthouses. Gloria was the loving daughter of the late Edward A. & Susan P. (Kyte) Rouleau of East Bridgewater; beloved sister of Philip A. Rouleau of North Quincy, Eleanor Iacovelli & her husband Michael of Abington, Gail Harrington & her husband George of Danvers and the late John (Gerry) Rouleau of Hanson. Gloria is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law, her many friends with whom she enjoyed spending time and her cat, Pointer. Memorial visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Her memorial funeral Mass will be held at Saint Joseph's Church, 272 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at 9:00 AM. Family and friends are kindly invited. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Elm Street, (Route 80), Kingston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory may be made to the Kingston Animal Control/Shelter, 28 Evergreen Street, Kingston, MA 02364.
