Dear Tracey and Family, I was searching for JoAnn to reconnect again and discovered she had passed onto Heaven. I will forever love her and consider her such a dear sister in Christ. God brought her into my life at a crucial point when I needed a mentor and friend. Even though this message is late I pray for you all as I am sure your loss is still felt knowing how close you were. Tracey, your relationship with your Mom often made me wish I had a daughter. Bless you all.

Dear Tracey, Rickie and families,
I am so very sorry for your great loss and extend my deepest, loving sympathy to all of you. Jo=Ann was very dear to me, a wonderful friend and sister in the Lord for many years. Although our times together in later years has not been as often as we'd have liked, we are "forever sisters" in Jesus Christ. Our times together in those Quincy (Fort Square Church) years will always be most precious to me, and I thank and praise God for bringing us together in Him. I thank Him, too, that we spent a wonderful luncheon time together at a mutual friend's house most recently where we could renew our precious friendship, amidst warm hugs, laughter, and yes, a few tears as well. God Bless you, dear friends, I pray for comfort and peace as you walk through these lonely days without her. The Good News is, though, she is with your Dad, and we ALL we meet again to be with Jesus in Heaven!

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." Psalm 116:15
Knowing that you are with Jesus now, my baby sister, and knowing that now you see and understand fully, even as you have been fully understood and that you no longer struggle with our earthly cares and struggles causes me to rejoice with you, even as we, your family and friends, grieve your loss among us. I'll never forget our long talks, laughs, tears, sharing of joys and sorrows, singing Gospel together, praising God together, praying together, learning together, growing together. Those are the times I'll cherish in my heart. I'll never forget when you first came to Jesus how you said to me: "Well, OK. I'll accept Him, but I'll never do any of that 'witnessing stuff' - and how, to the amazement of both of us, Jesus became so ALIVE in your spirit, that you just couldn't help but glorify Him over and over to anyone who would listen. You were given the heart of an evangelist and your zeal touched many for Jesus. Now you are with Dick, Mum and Dad, baby May, our Grandparents - all who welcomed you with JOY! Until we meet again, my dear sister - I love you. Your sister, Carol Ann

My heartfelt condolences to Jo-Ann's family. She was a very special person to me and so many others. We were friends for 43 years. So many memories. She really helped me when my husband, Eddie, passed away 4 years ago. Having gone thru the loss of her own husband, Dick, only months before, she still was there for me. I'll always remember her loving spirit. She will be sadly missed. Until we meet again, Jo-Ann, loving you, Kathy.

I was so saddened to hear of Jo-Ann's passing. There's no doubt that she is with the Lord. I went to school with Jo-Ann in Quincy and reunited through Jim Purtell's ministry. I always picture her with a smile on her face. She loved people and it showed. She was such a blessing to us, as she would help out at our Christian store in Hanover. In times of grief like this, it is always good to realize that because of Jesus, our loved ones live and are in our future as well as our past.

Jo-Ann was instrumental in so many lives. Always encouraging, never letting anyone leave her presents without a laugh and a smile. Finding just the right words to give to them, making everyone feel loved and important and cared for. She will missed by so many who loved her.
