Obituary of John G. MacCormack

John G. MacCormack, 82, of Duxbury, passed away on June 25, 2014, while in the comfort of his loving family. Born in S. Portland, ME and son of Ronald and Josephine B. (Ham) MacCormack. He is survived by his devoted wife Shirley MacCormack (Flanagan) and his seven children; Susan Hague and her husband Christopher of Fairhaven ; John Jr and his wife Christine of Mashpee; Michael and his wife Dorothy of Derry, NH; Nancy Bulger and her husband Mark of Marshfield; James and his wife Donna of Plymouth; Richard and his wife Lori of Sandwich ; and Diane E. Garofalo and her husband Thomas of Duxbury, 20 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, also dear brother of Marita Reynolds of Gorham, ME; Ronald MacCormack Jr of Englewood, FL; the late Patricia Feeney of New Bedford; and the late Margaret Russo of Canton,MA. After graduating from Auburn, ME High School, he worked in construction as a crane operator . As a Veteran of the Korean War, he was chosen to serve his term in the CIA. Upon his return, he was employed in sales by American Greetings, while achieving Pacemaker status. Funeral from the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main Street (Rt. 106), Kingston on Monday June 30,2014 at 9:00AM followed by a funeral Mass at Holy Family church, Duxbury at 10:00AM . Interment in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30PM . Visiting hours will be held on Sunday June 29, 2014 from 4-8:00 PM.
