Obituary of Robert Rigel

Robert Rigel, age 84, of Plympton, died on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Golden Living Oak Hill Nursing Center in Middleborough. Robert was born on February 19, 1930, in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Ben & Gorgia Mae (Mobley) Rigel. He served in the U.S. AirForce during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from the University of Ohio and Yale University, where he earned his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Robert loved sailing and was an avid sailor. Robert was the beloved husband of the late Martha "Vicki" (Kramer) Rigel; loving father of Robert E. Rigel & his wife Sandy of California, Cynthia Horan & her husband Jay of Duxbury, Kathryn Kelly & her husband Peter of Hanson, Linda Schauwecker & her husband Fred of Plympton and Michael Rigel & his wife Sherry of Pennsylvania and cherished grandfather of nine. Funeral and interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
