Nancy (Gaffey) Nolan, age 84, of Plympton, born and raised in Roscommon, Ireland, died on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Plymouth, surrounded by her loved ones. She was an avid Red Sox fan and loved knitting. Nancy was the beloved wife of Patrick T. Nolan; loving mother of Ann M. Nolan & husband Carl J. Banville, Sr. of Plymouth, Richard T. Nolan & wife Ruthie of Carver and Maureen M. Ostby & husband Rob of Bernalillo, New Mexico; devoted sister of Bridie O'Neill of Dorchester, Helen Dobbins of Dorchester, Nuala McLaughlin of Quincy, Eamon Gaffey of West Roxbury and the late Patrick, Michael, Thomas, Bernard, Joseph, Larry and Seamus Gaffey, Maureen Rogan, Peggy McLaughlin, Kathleen Burke and Betty Hegarty. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Richard Ostby of Kingston, Carl J. Banville, Jr. of Taunton, Elizabeth Banville of South Boston, Jacquelyn Banville of Plymouth and Brittney Nolan of Bridgewater and her beloved dog, Muffin. Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston, on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at 8:15 AM, followed by her funeral Mass at Saint Joseph's Church, 272 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, at 9:00 AM. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nancy's memory may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
