Obituary of James H. W. Williams
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James Harrison Wilson Williams passed away unexpectedly May 2, 2015 at the age of 50. Born in Weymouth in 1964, James was raised in Duxbury and remained a lifelong resident of the South Shore. It is with much sorrow in family and friends that we speak of his passing. James liked finding his own way in life. He was generous, kind and loving with a spirit of adventure and curiosity. He saw quickly when help was needed by friends and family and never failed them. He loved the outdoors, and so creating a landscaping company was a natural path for him. Even as a young boy, he worked in the garden of his Duck Hill home. He knew much of what grew there—wild or cultivated. James is survived by his loving mother, Helen Rushton Williams of Duxbury; his sister, Laura Williams Onessimo, her husband, Edward and daughter, Gabrielle of Milton, MA; half-sister Elinor Williams of Indianapolis, Indiana; longtime companion, Marguerite Foster of Kingston, MA and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. James was the son of Richard Cary Williams who passed away in 2007. Services will be held at St. Johns the Evangelist Episcopal Church on May 20 th at 11:00 AM. James will be interred at Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury, MA.
