Obituary of Zachary M. Kane
Please share a memory of Zachary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Zachary Michael Kane passed away on September 8, 2015 at the age of 15 after a very courageous battle with Cancer. Zach was born on June 10, 2000 in Plymouth, MA. He lived in Carver with his parents, Steven and Katy Kane, and attended Carver High School. From a very early age Zach had an intense love of fire trucks and ambulances, and couldn't wait for the day he could take his EMT course and eventually become a paramedic. He was also made an honorary member of the Carver Fire Department in 2014, where his grandfather is a 27 year member. Zach also had a great love of animals, old school rap music, orange soda, the movies Napoleon Dynamite and Friday, the television shows Family Guy and Cleveland Show, going out for road trips and lunch with Mimi, and playing video games. But most of all, Zach adored his family and his dog Sammy. Zach is survived by his parents Steven and Katy Kane, his grandparents, John and Karen Fein of Carver, Daniel Kane of Warwick and Leslie Kane of Sagamore, aunt Amy Fein of Carver, uncle Shaun Kane of Wareham and Scott Kane of Duxbury, and numerous extended family and friends. Services for Zach will be held on Monday, September 14 at the Shepherd Funeral Home (Rt.58) in Carver from 4:00-8:00 PM. There will be a private graveside burial on Tuesday September 15. In lieu of flowers, the Kane and Fein families ask that you make a donation to the Dana- Farber Cancer Center, who took such wonderful care of Zach throughout the last year of his life, and continue to do such amazing research towards finding a cure for this awful disease, or to the Humane Society in honor of Zach’s love for all animals. Donations can be made in Zachary's name online at www.humanesociety.org
