Obituary of John Robert Munnis

John Robert Munnis, Jr., age 76, of Pembroke, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016. Jack was born on January 23, 1939 in Quincy, grew up in Hanover and enjoyed a close knit group of friends throughout his entire life. He attended Boston University, was a proud mason and an Army Veteran. Jack met his wife, Robbie, while serving at Fort Huachuca, AZ and they married in 1964. Jack was a hard worker who ran his own drywall business, Capeway Drywall. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in his band the Wagonmasters. His boisterous spirit and booming voice were his trademarks. Jack is survived by his wife of 51 years, Robbie (Pulliam) Munnis; his sister, Nancy Sullivan of Norwell; his daughter, Jennifer Mahar; his son-in-law, Robert Mahar, Jr. and his two granddaughters, Katherine and Jacqueline all of Pembroke. Visitation will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, (Route 14), Pembroke, on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, from 9:30-11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 AM. Interment services with military honors will follow at the Center Cemetery, Oldham Street, Pembroke.
