Obituary of Douglas E. Place

Douglas E. Place, Jr, 41, of Carver, passed away on March 2, 2016. Loving father of Alana and her mother Deanna, Douglas E. Place III, and Jaxson Brady Place as well as their sisters Emily, and Brooke. Beloved son of Margaret Place and the late Douglas E. Place of Carver, and his step mother Cynthia Place of Carver. Brother of Benjamin and his wife Megan Place of Wareham, Nicholas Place of Carver, and Jill Place of Carver. Doug is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Olivia, Kaylin, Catherine, Andrea, Nicholas Jr, and John, as well as his extended family, and many friends. To know Doug was to love him. Always there when you needed him, whether you needed a big brother, or a good friend. His kids always came first. With his infectious laugh, and a joke to always make whatever it was ok. He will be missed by so many, and forgotten by none. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 7th from 3-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, at Sacred Heart Parish, 340 Center St, Middleboro at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Nemasket Hill cemetery in Middleboro.
