May, Norma (Shepherd) Age 90 of Duxbury, formerly of Norwell. Passed away peacefully on March 19, 2016. Beloved wife of the late James Edward May. Loving mother to daughter, Joan (May) McDonnell, and sons, Thomas, William, Daniel, (the late) Richard, Peter, Donald, and Michael May. Loving Grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Norma grew up in Gloucester and graduated Magna Cum Laude at Boston University's Sargent College, leading to a career in Physical Therapy. She was employed at the Grover Manor Hospital and with several Boston area doctors. Norma raised her family lovingly in Dorchester, Hyde Park and Norwell. As a young girl, she was an avid sailor on the Annisquam River and continued sailing for many years out of the Quincy Yacht Club. She had a passion for dancing and traveling to many European countries. Services and Burial are private for family members only.
