Patrick J. Cluett, age 88, of Kingston, died peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2016.
Born April 1, 1928 to Mary and William Cluett of Quincy, Patrick lived his early years in Quincy and was a graduate of North Quincy High School. He went on to serve in the U.S. Coast Guard. After his service, he attended Boston University and pursued a career in the automobile industry, where he spent over 25 years at Quincy Motor Company. In his later years, Patrick enjoyed working with his son in the insurance industry, finally retiring at 81 years old.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Cluett (Mantia) of Kingston, to whom he was married 64 years; his sisters, Louise Benoit of Brockton, Loretta Koch of Quincy and Helen Cluett of Weymouth; son, Bruce Cluett and his wife Nancy of Plymouth; daughter, Lisa Gosselin and her husband Robert of Kingston; his five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Patrick’s kindness had a positive impact on many life-long friends and beloved family members.
Visiting hours at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Thursday, April 28, 2016, from 4:00-8:00 PM.
Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston, on Friday, April 29, 2016, at 9:00 AM, followed by his funeral Mass to be celebrated at the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, at 10:00 AM.
Interment services will be private.
