John Arthur Clough, 81, of Kingston, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Born in Charlestown, he was a son of the late Walter J. and Hannah J. (Cotter) Clough. John moved to Kingston, MA in 1968 and owned a TV repair service until 2000, then was employed for fifteen years with the Plymouth County Court system as a Associate Court Officer until he recently retired due to health issues. John was a proud Bostonian and loved his Irish heritage. He enjoyed fishing, camping in his RV and attending Irish-times. He also was a long-time member of the Hilltop Club in Kingston, MA and both the Cold Spring AC Club and the Seaside Club of Plymouth, MA. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Marie G. (George) and second wife, Joan (Wolfe) and his brother, James E. Clough of Everett, MA. He is survived by daughters, Karen DeCourcy of Kingston, MA and Dinean Farraher and her husband, Michael of Carlsbad, CA. Also, he leaves sons, John G. and James G. of Kingston, and Thomas G. and his wife, Lisa J. of Westerly, RI. He was the proud grandfather to Melissa Smith of Fall River, MA; John M. Clough of Plymouth, MA; Meghan Clough of East Bridgewater, MA; Katherine Murtaugh and her husband, Patrick of Dorchester, MA; Kelsey Clough of Beijing, China, Hannah Clough of Harrisonburg, VA; Liam Clough of Westerly, RI; and Jack Farraher of Carlsbad, CA. Also, he leaves behind two great grandchildren Gemma and Layla. Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Homes, 216 Main Street, Kingston, MA on Monday at 4:00- 8:00. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 272 Main Street, Kingston, MA at 10:00AM. Interment will be private.
