Richard P. Perkins (Dick), 83, of Kingston, passed away on May 17, 2016, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. He was born in Weymouth in 1932, and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1951. Dick married his high school sweetheart Millie Lyons in 1954, and they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this past April. He loved fishing, painting, and anything to do with the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife Millie, and 4 children; Deborah Robinson of FL, Kathleen Perkins of Whitman, Linda Leonard of Hanover, and Richard Perkins Jr of CT. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Dick was predeceased in death by his parents Maxime and Frances Perkins, sister Frances Tucci, and sister Dorothy Abbruzzese.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 22nd from 1-4:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, on Monday, May 23rd, at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Blue Hills cemetery in Braintree.
