Regina Mae (Chapman) Finninger died peacefully at New?eld House, Plymouth, MA on June 6, 2016. In her early 20’s, Regina learned how to ?y a biplane and forever more loved the adventure of air travel, no matter where the destination. Once her children were grown, Regina continued her college education at the University of Dallas. Actively involved in the decorative arts, seat caning and furniture re?nishing, she also developed a business selling church pews, hymnal racks and tin ceilings from old churches to restaurant chains in and around the Dallas area. Regina moved from Dana Point, California to Duxbury in 1999. She was nominated for Duxbury’s 2004 Volunteer of the Year Award for initiating the fund drive to purchase a new senior bus, Sadie II, for The Duxbury Senior Center, along with her volunteer work at the Duxbury Thrift Shop and Art Complex Museum. Regina particularly enjoyed attending musical and theatrical performances at Duxbury High School, Bay Players and the South Shore Conservatory. Regina is survived by her three children; Beverly Murphy and her husband, Edward, of Plymouth (formerly Duxbury), Walter Finninger II and his wife, Sylvia, of Dallas, Texas and James Finninger and his wife, Dedra, of Los Angeles, California. Regina was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; including Justin Murphy and his wife, Parnell, of
Boston (formerly Duxbury) and their daughter, Grayson; Ryan Murphy and his wife, Jennifer, of Boston (formerly Duxbury) and their son, Graham; Lauren Finninger White and her husband, Thomas, of Dallas, Texas and their sons, Judah and Daniel; Bailey Finninger of Chandler, Arizona, Karley Finninger of Tyler, Texas, Devon Finninger of Austin, Texas, Rachel Finninger of NYC, New York and Nicole, Michelle and Lake Finninger of Dallas, Texas; along with one niece and two nephews.
