Obituary of Ernest F. DeCristofaro

Ernest F. DeCristofaro, 50, passed away on October 10, 2016. He is survived by his parents Ernest W. and Katherine DeCristofaro. He was the loving father to his children Leonardo and Emilio DeCristofaro. He is also survived by his siblings Dianne Nash and her husband Robert, Denise Fitzgerald and her husband James and Daniel DeCristofaro and his wife Lorena. Ernest was also a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews, Alyson Lockett, James Fitzgerald, Amanda Nash, Kaitlyn Fitzgerald, Alexandra Nash, Nicole DeCristofaro, Liam Fitzgerald and Mario DeCristofaro. Ernie was an avid Boston sports fan who each day read the Boston Herald from back to front. However, Ernie’s true passion was his two children, Leonardo and Emilio. Like Ernie, Leonardo and Emilio were challenged with their own disabilities. Having cerebral palsy and a learning disability himself, Ernie knew full well the hard journey and challenges his boys would face in life. With love, patience and understanding, Ernie led them on this journey. Now, in Heaven ,Ernie will continue to guide and cheer his boys on. Ernie was an amazing Dad, a devoted son taking care of his parents for many years, and a loving brother and uncle. Ernie will be in our hearts forever. Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. Kingston on Saturday, October 15, from 9:00 to 11:00AM. A Funeral service will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home at 11:00AM.
