Obituary of Robert L. Harlow

Robert L. Harlow (Bob), 85, passed away Thursday February 2, 2017 surrounded by family. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Virginia Harlow along with their three children and spouses, Julie and Charles Montgomery of Hanson, MA, Tracey Harlow and Michael MacIver of Hanson, MA and Robert J. and Bonnie Harlow of Plympton, MA. Cherished grandfather of Victoria and Matthew Montgomery, Katherine and Meghan Robinson. Bob was loved and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Bob was born on October 22, 1931 in Fairfield, ME. Bob is predeceased by his parents Robert and Blanche Harlow along with his siblings Charles Harlow and Janice Mills. Bob was a United States Airforce Veteran, then employed by General Dynamics of Quincy and retired as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was an avid basketball fan, especially his Celtics, and was always ready for March Madness. Bob enjoyed traveling as often as possible with his wife and family. He was a dedicated, husband, father, grandfather and uncle, and his family treasured him deeply. Memorial visiting Hours will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett Street, Pembroke MA, from 2:00 to 5:00PM. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at 1:00PM.
