Mr. Tenney will long be remembered as the most loved Grandfather at "Special Friends and Grandparents Day" at Seattle Country Day. Genevieve Burgoyne, your grandson Charlie's classmate , was thrilled whenever Charlie's grandparents were in town. She loved it when Charlie's Grandfather would come to class and tell the class about aviation. He was the most dedicated of Grandfathers and the entire class loved his visits. Later when they all graduated from High School, Mr. and Mrs Tenney were there and even came to Genevieve's graduation party. The kids are all grown now, but Charlie's Grandfather will always hold a special place in their hearts. We convey our love and support to the Tenney family from the Burgoyne Family.

Lee,
I was so sorry to read of Mike's passing. You all were very special in my life in Duxbury - a great family with whom I had many wonderful times. Mike was truly one of the great people as are all of you.
Please know you and the entire family are in my prayers.
John

Jack McCarthy, Larry Wilson, Phill Bolster and I started Duxbury Youth Football the same year Mike and Lee started Duxbury Youth Hockey. I feel I have had a special bond with Mike and Lee because of our similar path. Mike is one of the most special people I have ever meant. I will miss him in my own way. Gus

I "lived" next door to Mike's hanger in PYM. He was soft spoken and always had a warm smile. He took me flying over PYM harbor and we took turns scaring each other with our maneuvers. Great memories. He will be missed.
Smooth flight west, Mike.

I recall with great clarity the first time I met Mike back in 1996 when I first became manager of the Plymouth Airport. That first winter on an unusually warm March day I saw this fellow pulling a beautiful PT-17 Stearman out of the from hangar at Plymouth. I introduced myself and met this wonderful, energetic gentleman. Over the past 2 decades Mike would occasionally stop by my office or I'd see him at the gas pumps as he'd be fueling his much loved aircraft. Mike always had this wonderful smile and I will miss him greatly.
