Obituary of Joseph R. Schofield

Joseph Raymond Schofield, 73, of Plymouth, passed away on April 15, 2017. Loving husband of Carolyn Doyle-Schofield. Beloved father of Nathan Schofield and his wife Shannon of Bridgewater, Matthew Schofield and Lorry Bruno of Wareham, and Sam Schofield and his wife Jennifer of Middleboro. Son of the late Burton H. and Rhoda A. (Pepard) Schofield. Cherished Grandfather to Jacob and Tyler Schofield. Joseph is also survived by his extended family, and by numerous friends.
Joseph served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a custom builder and took great pride in building custom homes.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 20th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held at The First Baptist Church, 2 Tremont St, Duxbury on Friday, April 21st at 10:00 AM. Graveside services will follow at Mayflower cemetery in Duxbury. Donations may be made in Joseph’s name to:Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Center, 275 Sandwich St, Plymouth, MA 02360.
