Lorraine “Maier” English, 90, of Kingston, passed away on May 15, 2017. Loving wife of the late George V. English. Daughter of the late Francis P and Edna Maier. Born and raised in Mattapan and Hyde Park, MA. Lorraine later lived in Milton, and South Easton, MA before moving to Kingston. She was the past Treasurer and Prefect of the Ladies Sodality and a CCD teacher at St. Joseph’s church in Hyde Park. A member of the Easton Garden Club, and Catholic Women’s Club of Easton and Mansfield, MA. Lorraine was past President and Secretary of the K of C Bowling League in Hyde Park for many years. Secretary and Chaplin of Harold F Govoni Post 387 Auxilary in Kingston, MA. She was a communicant of St. Josephs church in Kingston and volunteered at Wingate Nursing Home, also of Kingston, for many years. She is survived by 2 sons, Richard English of Cape Coral, FL, Paul English of Kingston, MA and a daughter, Donna D’Amico of Raynham, MA. Also her brother Francis P Maier Jr. of Natick, MA, and is the sister of the late Edna Foley of Norwood, MA, and Dorothy Young of Milton MA. Mother of the late Ronald English, Cape Coral, FL. Cherished grandmother of six Grandchildren, six Great-Grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 22nd from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 23rd at 10:00 am at St. Joseph church in Kingston. Graveside services will follow at MA National cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The Make A Wish Foundation at www.wish.org.
