Carol Anne (McCarthy) Kennedy, age 65, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2017, following a brief illness. She was born and raised in Dorchester. Upon graduation from Jeremiah E. Burke High School, Carol worked at the State House as a legal secretary in the Office of the Attorney General. Along with her family, she settled in Kingston in 1980. She was dedicated to her family, taking time to raise four children. Carol enjoyed spending time gardening, walking the Plymouth waterfront area, and vacationing with family. She was an active member of St. Joseph Parish for many years, involved with the Advent wreath project, the annual golf tournament, and Luminary Night festivities. Beloved wife of her loving husband, Kevin C. Kennedy, D.M.D., of Kingston. Devoted mother to Timothy M. Kennedy and his wife, Alissa of Plymouth, Kristen Linkhart and her husband, Patrick of North Attleboro, Kathleen Kennedy of Kingston, and Michael Kennedy and his fiancée, Jessica Stanelun of Providence. Daughter of Agnes McCarthy and the late John J. McCarthy. “Grammy” to Evan and Parker Kennedy and Grace Linkhart. Aunt Carol to Elizabeth Patterson, the late James Kennedy, and Brianne Chapelle. Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home at 216 Main Street (Rt. 106) in Kingston, on Wednesday, June 7th, from 4pm-8pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 313 Court Street, Plymouth, on Thursday, June 8th, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Bourne National Cemetery at 1:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to McCarthy Care Center, 73 Service Road, East Sandwich, MA 02537
