Although we expected Uncle June's death, it brings sadness. Sad, that we have lost another member of the greatest generation. One can't help but think of his "war bride", Aunty Kit today as well. They were married for over 65 years. We spent time in England together. Uncle June was a very kind man. He was very tall with broad shoulders and had the bluest eyes. I imagine in his day, he was quite the catch. Although he didn't speak of it much, I respected his service to our country. I will remember him laughing when we walked on the Yorkshire Moors and when we stopped on the side of the road because Aunty Kit declared it was "tea time". Uncle June and Aunty Kit traveled the US and beyond but, the road always brought them home to Carver.
