Curtis M. Woodbury of Bridgewater died on December 14, 2007. He was 79 years old. Mr. Woodbury was born, raised, and educated in Quincy, and is a graduate of Quincy High School. Following his graduation from high school Mr. Woodbury enlisted in The U.S. Navy and served during both World War II and the Korean War. Following his discharge from the Navy he went to work at his family’s business, C.Y. Woodbury Oil Co. of Quincy. Mr. Woodbury was also a salesman for Battylion Heating Supply. He also did freelance heating system design. Mr. Woodbury enjoyed model ship building, sailing, and was an avid reader.
He is survived by his Wife Barbara Woodbury of Bridgewater, a son Mark A. Woodbury and his Wife Sally of Kingston. Two granddaughters; Rachel W. Novak of Kingston and Elisabeth R. Woodbury of Duxbury and two great-grandchildren; Tucker and Catherine Novak of Kingston. He also had a brother, Glen, who predeceased him. Services will be private.
