Drexel O. Hardin of Carver died on January 6, 2007. He was 78 years old. Drexel was the beloved companion of Susan Shaw. He was born in the hills of Tennessee. He is a World War II veteran who was educated at the University of Chicago, and Memphis State Law School. He became a writer, learning his trade in Japan as a reporter for a service magazine. Mr. Hardin was employed by the Ford Motor Company, The Cotton Council, and worked on Madison Avenue as an ad director, and was editor and publisher of the World Gaming Report. Mr. Hardin is the father of; Clay Hardin, the late Katie Miller, and a stepson Harvey Bowen. Grandfather of 7. Services will be private. Donations may be made to Old Colony Elder Services, PO Box 449, Brockton, MA 02303-4469.
