Obituary of Dennis E. Reed

REED, Dennis E. of Carver and native of Pembroke died unexpectedly after a brief illness on March 14,2008 at the West Roxbury VA at the age of 57. He was the husband of Joan (Berry) Reed of Carver. Son of Harriet J. (Howe) Reed and the late Everett G. Reed of Bryantville. Brother of Mary (Reed) Dupuis and her husband Bernard J. Dupuis of Duxbury. He is also survived by 5 Children, 14 Grandchildren including Bugsy, 9 Great Grandchildren, 2 Nieces, 1 Nephew and 2 Great Nephews. Dennis was a 1968 graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School and served 2 tours in Vietnam with the US Army. He was a member and past commander of the American Legion Post 40 in Plymouth. After the services he worked for McGlone Surveying and has been working for the last 30 years with the US Post Office. He was an avid golfer and fly fisherman and loved the outdoors. Calling hours will be held Wed. March 19, 2008 from 4-8 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rte 14 Pembroke Center). A funeral service will be held on Thurs. March 20, 2008 at 9AM at the funeral home, followed by internment with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Donations can be made to: The American Cancer Society 1115 W.
