Gordon Lee Pratt of Kingston died on March 18, 2008. He was 77 years old. Mr. Pratt was educated at the Clarke School for the Deaf in North Hampton, and attended Marshfield High School. He was a well-known town figure, and has lived in Kingston for the past 52 years. Mr. Pratt was a nationally recognized bird and decoy carver, and has won several first place ribbons. He was known to donate his time to the boy scouts where he would teach carving, sign language, and how to build derby cars. He was a member of the Hilltop Athletic Association in Kingston, and the Unity Club, and Cold Springs Club in Plymouth. Mr. Pratt was also a supporter of Ducks Unlimited. He loved golfing, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Mr. Pratt is survived by his loving Wife Myrtle Pratt. Son of the late William and Olive Pratt. Brother to the late Hayden Pratt. Beloved Uncle of Lynn Loring of Middleboro, Mark Loring of Plymouth, and Kevin Loring of Plymouth, as well as several other Nieces and Nephews. Godfather of Dr. Tabitha Loring of Arlington, VA, and Tristen Loring of Middleboro. Great Great Uncle of Caleb Loring Boucher. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 21st from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 22nd at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to, Cranberry Area Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
