Dewey R. Jensen, of Pembroke, died May 6, 2008 at his home in Pembroke. He was 79. Born in Yarmouth, ME on Aug. 25, 1928, he was the son of John and Mercedes Jensen. He served with the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Jensen was employed as a machinist with Thayer Scale in Pembroke for 33 years. He worked as Sexton of the First Church in Pembroke for over 20 years. He had been greatly involved in the sports program with the youth in Pembroke for many years. He was artistic and an accomplished wood carver. He loved car races and he loved to ski. He was a loving father and loved by all. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Esther (Brann) Jensen, his daughters; Patricia M. Jensen of Pembroke, Liza B. Dupuy of Texas, and the late Carrie Lee Justice , his sisters Lally Bouquet of Maine, and the late Margaret Jensen and the late Norma Rousseau. He is also survived by four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Sat. May 10 at the First Church in Pembroke, Center St., Pembroke at 10:00AM. Interment at a later date. Calling hours will be held on Fri. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St., Pembroke from 4-8PM. Memorial donations may be made to the First Church in Pembroke, P.O.
