Obituary of Diana V. Poirier

Diana V. Poirier, of Carver, died after a short illness at the Boston Medical Center on June 16, 2008. Diana was born August 30, 1943 in Boston, and is the daughter of the late Emma (Rose) and Armand Baldinelli. Diana was employed for many years at the Etonic Shoe Co, in Brockton and Rockland Trust Co., Rockland. She is survived by her husband Joseph R. Poirier, Jr. of Carver. Mother of Raymond J. Poirier of Plaistow, NH, Denise V. Sumner of Carver, and her adopted daughter Mary F. Leavey of S. Yarmouth. Grandmother of Cody M. Sumner, and Cameron J. Sumner of Carver, Emma Poirier and Sarah A. Poirier of Plaistow. NH and her adopted grandchildren Jennifer L. Stearns and David R. Stearns of S. Yarmouth. Sister of Donald Baldinelli, David Christopher, and the late Jack Rose. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her many close friends. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 20th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 main St (Rt. 58) Carver. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lourdes in Carver on Saturday June 21st at 9:00 AM. Burial will be private.
