Dear Everyone-Joan and Ed were our "across the street" neighbors and good friends in Sagamore Beach for so many years. Joan and my mother, Olive, also corresponded for many years when Mom and Dad moved to Florida. I have so many wonderful memories of Joan--letting me drop in for a visit and a cold drink--or her coming across the street to buy my lemonade or painted rocks at my "stand" in the summer. Both she and Ed enriched the lives of all of the Bettleys---and she is remembered fondly by both my brother Joe and me. Blessings to all of you.

To: Joan Kent's Family
We were neighbors of Ed and Joan for many years, and offer you our sincerest condolences in your bereavement. We remember them very fondly. Ed had a keen sense of humor and was always forthcoming in loaning his beloved tools. Joan was always pleasant and inspiring on her daily walks. They were very good neighbors and we miss them.
Sincerely,
Jim and Barbara Wales
