Obituary of Robert J. James

Robert J. James Sr., 72, passed away on Tuesday December 1, 2009. Robert is survived by his wife, Rita (Shea) James of 48 years, his children Anita James of North Carolina, Robert James Jr. of Colorado, Christine James of Plymouth, Kathryn Gerrish of Utah, Erin Ball of Maine and Brian James of Maryland, 9 wonderful grandchildren and his brother Lloyd James of Billerica. Robert was born in Boston and spent 40 years there before moving to Kingston. Robert served time in the Air Force and was retired from the MBTA. Robert’s family would like to thank Oncologist Dr Thien Oo, the nurses and staff at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston for their genuine concern and who took such good care of him. Donations can be made in Robert’s name to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for their dedication to both their work and patients. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours to be held Sunday, December 6 from 2-6 p.m. at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106), Kingston. Funeral from the Shepherd Funeral Home on Mon. Dec. 7 at 9:00AM, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, Kingston at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
