Obituary of Peter F. Shannon

Peter F. Shannon of Duxbury, formerly of Braintree, died on December 21, 2009. He was 63 years old. Mr. Shannon is a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School, Stonehill College, and Suffolk University. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Throughout his career, he worked at several south shore car dealerships as controller. Peter enjoyed spending time on the Cape with his family and friends. Beloved husband of Marcia (Hamilton) Shannon. Loving father of Timothy Shannon of Duxbury, and Laura Shannon of Somerville. Son of the late Peter F. Shannon, Sr. and Catherine (Brems) Shannon. Son-in-law of Myrtie Hamilton of Braintree. Brother-in-law of Richard and Mary Hamilton of Hanover. Uncle of Michael Hamilton of Hanover, Sheila Hamilton of NY, and Lisa Miller of GA. Peter is also survived by many loving cousins and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 26th from 4-8:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family church, 601 Tremont St., Duxbury, on Monday, December 28th at 10:00AM. Interment will be at the Mayflower cemetery in Duxbury.
