Obituary of Gordon C. Pratt

Gordon Clifford Pratt, 91, passed away on Wednesday, January 13 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Mr. Pratt was born in Pembroke, Massachusetts in 1918 and lived all of his life there until September, 2009. He was the son of the late Clarence A. Pratt and Mary Agnes (Monroe) Pratt and brother of the late Walter M. Pratt Sr. Mr. Pratt attended Pembroke schools and graduated in a class of eight in 1935. He then attended Boston University and graduated in 1939. He taught school and coached sports in Pembroke for ten years and in Milton for two years. He joined his brother in the grocery business from 1952-1965. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports, especially the Red Sox. Mr. Pratt is preceeded in death by his son, Barry G. Pratt of Cape Cod. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Hazel M. Pratt, his daughter Wendy M. Fogg of Greenville, Indiana, daughter-in-law Kelley Pratt of Falmouth, eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Visiting hours from the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St., Pembroke Center, on Fri. Jan 22, 10:00AM-12:00 noon, with a service following at the funeral home at 12:00 noon. Interment in Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Bryantville.
