Ritchie was a mans man who got along with EVERYONE. A quality which is almost impossible. Always friendly, smiling, caring and funny. This guy got “it” and enjoyed every moment he had.

Dear Pat, Courtney, Joan, Joe and Maddie,
My heart goes out to all of you. We had many fun and loving memories of "uncle" Richie in the neighborhood, at the pool, Disney, and when we used to turn our livingroom into a dance club. I will always remember his smile and laugh and all the fun times we had. Though his time here was short his memory and spirit will live on in our hearts and thoughts.
Love,
Tracey and David

Dear Pat and Family:
I am saddened to hear of Richie's passing. I had the privilege of knowing him during my years at the Boston Herald in the early '90's. He sat right outside my office door next to Rollie Bourdon. He was a terrific guy to work with--- you could always count on him for a joke or laugh--- and, of course, for a job well done! He was genuinely loved by his co-workers and his clients. Additionally, it was so apparent that he loved his family and was so proud of you all--- his face would light up when he would mention any of you. I wish you many happy memories to comfort you at this time of deep loss. From now on, any time I see a Crown Vic-- I'll say a Hi to Richie in heaven.
Please know that you are all in thoughts and prayers today.
Sincerely,
Paul Gulya

To the MacDonald family,
I can't tell you how sorry I was to hear the news. He was a wonderful man who loved his family very much. I remember how he used to give Joan special copies of the Herald for my husband Mike who collected them. The last time I saw him he was holding Maddie! May peace be with you at this time.
Sincerely , Maureen Green
